U.S. Surrenders to War on Terror

In an unprecedented move, the president of the United States of America, in a press conference held at the United Nations headquarters in New York, declared that the US will no longer be fighting in the war on terror. President Bush submitted that since there is no way to “defeat an enemy that cannot be fought with bullets,” they have no choice but to cease their war efforts.

Bush proceeded to state how US foreign policy will shift focus towards “…construction, rather than destruction,” hoping to improve the United States’ reputation in the world. Bush concluded on an optimistic note, saying “by reallocating our military budget to increase both domestic and foreign social aid, we feel we have taken a good step towards a brighter future for all life on earth.”

This article is fiction, but it could come true if enough people (Americans especially) made it happen.

If it becomes relaity then it’s appreciable because nearly everything can be solved with negociations & not by war.

I’d be quite pleased if this happened, because it would mean we live in a fantasy land where all our problems are solved by gum drop fairies and rainbows of love shoot out of my eyes and fill the bellies of hungry babies….wake up assface, quit talking like you’re a 12 year old and take responsability.

Violence is what America was quick to have. It seems that Bush is kinda realising that peaceful negotiations should always come first. Maybe they should start getting rid of terrorists in America before going abroad..

It upsets me that people dont support our own president, he is doing what will make us safer. Negotiations will not be made, the islamic people want us to release convicted terrorist in order to not bomb us. That is not going to happen we will not give in to such an absurd demand. Negotiations will not occur they are asking for “money and a jet” at a bank robbery. The only way we can win this war on terror is by striking terror in the lives of the enemy although it is difficult to defeat an enemy that is not afraid to die.

I think using the word “surrender” here is sending the wrong message; stopping a “War” that is not really “on terror” but rather on all Muslims, everyone else who happens to have oil, and on civil liberties at home, is not surrendering to terror. It’s just stopping an injustice for which terrorism was just an excuse. Make the moderate Bush supporters see that Bush is NOT making anyone safer; then America can stop the War on Terror but keep fighting terrorism by civilized means.
