Kudos to the magnificent mob of engaged Spaniards who took to the streets today. Government goes to whoever shows up.
These mass demonstration are an effective way to counterbalance the influence that corporations and big money can have on politics. We may not have million dollar lobbyists, but when there’s enough of us, our voice is loud enough to be heard.
Expect to see more of these outpourings of dissent. In more places. Everywhere.
In fact, why aren’t you out there right now, getting yourself involved? There’s never been a better time. Just get out there and march. Stand and be counted. That is what democracy is all about.
And it feels so awesome, so empowering, to be part of a huge demonstration. It’s liberating, and it’s highly infectious!
