We Could Have Peace Today

Friday, July 16th, 2010

The only thing keeping us from having world peace today is that not enough people believe peace is possible.

If enough people believed in peace, they would have hope. If they had hope, they would try for peace. And it is this lack of trying, this lack of effort, which leaves out a vital ingredient in the recipe for world peace.

When enough people awaken to see world peace as more than just a dream, world peace will become a reality. Put another way, with each person who comes to believe in world peace, we get one step closer to peace actually coming true.

Peace starts with you. Look for peace inside yourself. Once you’ve found it, look for peace in the world and how you can help make it happen.

Dare to Dream

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

What would you do if you knew you could not fail?  Ask yourself this question, because you are the star of your own life.  You have the power to do anything you want.

Dare to dream.  Dream big.  Dream the biggest dreams you can, because dreams can and do come true.  Nothing is impossible.  Believe in yourself and your dreams.

You know how, when we watch a movie or a TV show and there is a tense scene where the hero is in a dangerous situation.  In the back of our minds, we know that the hero will somehow manage to get through it, because after all, they are the hero and the show would be over if they died.  Yet we can still feel nervous and enthralled by the moment.

Well, the same is true for our own life.  While in the day to day, in the moment, it is possible to feel stress or fear, but, just like with the movies or TV, we need to keep it in the back of our minds that we will persevere in the end.

Exercising defenseless and non-attachment gives us a means to rise above our mortal, everyday situation to gain a new perspective on life.  These techniques can free up all kinds of energy that we previously squandered on fear and doubt.  This new found energy can be channel into making our dreams into reality.
